A Hypodermic Syringe Luer Slip is an essential part of medical injections. This medical device is mostly used for injecting and withdrawing fluid. Main Parts

A hypodermic syringe mainly comprises two parts – Barrel and Plunger.  

• Barrel – This is a plastic or glass translucent cylindrical tube. The surface is calibrated with markings that define volumes. The measurements of milliliters (mL) or cubic centimeters (cm) paves the way for accuracy so that the user understands the precise quantity of liquid withdrawn or injected.

• Plunger – This is the movable rod or piston that is designed to perfectly fit inside the barrel. The push or pull creates a positive or negative pressure respectively so that the flow of the fluid gets effectively controlled.

• Needle – The hypodermic needle is a hollow and sharp tube that pierces the skin so that the medication goes inside the body or bodily fluid is taken out.
